The Ilmington Jubilee play Magic Moments at the Village Hall was the triumphant fulfilment of twelve month’s planning, research, writing, dramatic exploration, and rehearsals culminating in a joyous celebration commemorating the first 10 years of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The director of the project Colin Edwards conceived the idea with the aim of involving Ilmington residents in the staging of their memories, and dramatically depicting life as lived in the 1950s.
The Fifties Ilmington Remembers Project Director Colin Edwards and playwright Mark Currey were special Breakfast Show guests on Touch FM Radio this week.
Presenter Ollie Gallant, born in Ilmington, gave the Jubilee Play and 50s Memorabilia Exhibition generous airtime as the pair previewed the two main events of our Jubilee programme.
The Stratford Herald also featured an interview with Colin Edwards.
Due to popular demand there will be an extra PREVIEW performance of the Jubilee Play on Wednesday May 30 for all those unable to get tickets for the main shows.
Curtain Up at 7.30pm the Village Hall, no ticket required, 100 seats available.
